Title: 2,792
20 1/2" x 33", Plywood, match sticks and acrylics.

There are 2,792 match sticks representing the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City. Included are 343 fire (red) and 60 police and Port Authority personnel (blue).
Match sticks were used to illustrate how fragile and delicate life can be. There is a empty hole, representing the grief we all shared that day for the missing. When viewing the piece from an angle, an echo of the facade of part of one of the fallen towers can be seen. We will always remember, the 2,792.
