Jane Mouse Seymour by Alan F. Beck
Jane Seymour (1508 – 1537) was Queen of England as the third wife of Henry VIII. She succeeded Anne Boleyn as queen consort following the latter's execution in 1536. She died of postnatal complications less than two weeks after the birth of her only child, Edward VI.

Hans Holbein the Younger (1497– 1543) Holbein was a German artist and printmaker who worked in a Northern Renaissance style. In England, where he became court painter to Henry VIII, Holbein was known chiefly as a painter of portraits. His services were much in demand.
